Bill Maher: Schiff Looks Like a Stalker

Funnyman Bill Maher unexpectedly dropped the hammer on House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff Friday night on the comedians HBO “Real Time” show.

The politically active commentator and television host zeroed in on the Russian probe, asking Schiff for a summation of the Mueller investigation and what’s left to probe for the disgruntled Democratic politician.

Maher candidly suggested that Schiff is beginning to look “like a stalker,” stating “But this the Russia probe was our big gun,” Maher explained. “Now it just looks like you’re stalking him [President Donald Trump].”

Sensing that Schiff was surprised by the straightforward and honest question, Maher quickly threw Schiff a lifeline by attempting to explain further, “…I think in the eyes of the people who don’t follow it very closely, which is most of the country,” Maher quickly added.

“Here’s the thing about Bob Mueller. He’s like the last – He’s like the last thing in America that left and right agreed on. Left and right basically agreed: this is a guy of honor. This is an honest guy. This is an honest broker. Whatever he says goes.”

Adding, “Americans are not into details. ‘Don’t read it to me, Bob. Just give me thumbs up or thumbs down,'” Maher explained.

This is the fundamental difference even between two committed progressives like Maher and Schiff, in that Maher is first and foremost a comic using political discourse to enhance his edgy political talk show, and although he an unabashed progressive he’s also a  pragmatic realist and basically a logical guy, realizing  that after two years of investigations there’s simply nothing there.

Maher reputation as a contemporary comic is intact, while just the opposite is true for Schiff. A party loyalist who staked his entire political career and reputation based on Russian collusion, while at the same time enhancing his political career with one phony assertion after another.

At this stage Schiff as no recourse but to continue playing the same game of deception hoping the extremists within his party will give him some cover, by being even more disingenuous then he.

Thus when Maher asked a logical question stating, “If you couldn’t impeach before the Mueller report how are you going to impeach after its release?”

That simple question once again left Schiff grasping at straws stating, “I’m not there yet on impeachment? I may get there. He may get me there but here’s the awful dilemma that we face: if we don’t impeach him, that sends a message that this kind of conduct, this kind of obstruction of justice, this kind of willing use of the help of a foreign adversary, all the lies and cover-up, that this is non-impeachable. At the same time, if we do impeach him, and he is acquitted as he’d likely be acquitted, then the message is that those are not impeachable offenses.”

Adding, “At the end of the day, Bill, there’s only one way to deal with this problem, whether we impeach him or not, and that is to vote his ass out of office,” Schiff concluded, at which point the audience cheers.

Notice how the Russian scam has shifted for Schiff, who now finds himself in an extremely precarious position for someone who chairs such an important committee, in that he’s gone on the record stating that he had solid evidence of the President actually colluding with the Russians, not an assumption or a perhaps, but indisputable evidence.

Perhaps the Justice Department or some entity that has oversight should seriously look into this matter, and begin investigating the investigators. Adam Schiff chairs an important committee and should be held accountable for making false allegations, pretending that he has information regarding Russian collusion.

Bill Maher is a moron quite a few of us American citizens want to know the details. Like who is responsible for this whole line of crap and why aren’t any of the Demon rats in jail for the crap the pushed on the American citizens and all the money it cost us.
That money could have been spent on our homeless veterans or some other useful project that this country so desperately needs

Actually I’m surprised, and gratified, that even a suck-up close-minded coward like Maher would finally feel impelled to have the courage and honesty (not qualities he’s usually noted for) to call out the “liberal” bigots on their nauseating and vindictively self-serving witch-hunt. I suspect even most of them never thought the entire fabrication had any basis in fact, but there’s obviously no dirty trick they won’t try in order to get back into power and continue their arrogant and contemptuous rip-off of the American public.
